I have always been a city girl at heart, but maybe I’ve changed my mind? Totally kidding – but San Diego really is gorgeous! You can wear a Fall and Summer outfit in the SAME DAY. What girl doesn’t want that? I had so much fun playing with different outfits that I can’t wear in Texas during July.
The bag I’m carrying is everything. The details are amazing! What’s even more amazing is that I got it for 75% off (gasp). Apparently I headed to Zara at the right time when they were trying to get rid of everything to make room for the Fall collection, so everything was marked insanely down. I really had to have some self control and said no to basically a whole rack of cute clothes I definitely did not need! I was actually quite proud of myself. Although, there was a great leather bag that was originally $130 down to $35 and I passed it up! Kind of mad about that one. Moral of the story – watch out for those Zara “Let’s Get Rid of Everything” sales.
I have had a whirlwind of a month; from moving, to going out of town a bunch, and just a lot of transitioning, it’s been all over the place to say the least. With that being said, I am so happy to be home and get back to work on some exciting things to come that I can’t wait to announce to you guys. Thank you all for tuning in!
I’m sitting at a coffee shop right now and I’m feeling like a hipster/sorority girl poser. I am guilty of wearing Chacos, an XL t-shirt, and Nike shorts, drinking a sugar-free soy vanilla latte, and listening to “indie chillout” on Spotify. You are allowed to laugh. I actually haven’t dressed like this or have written in a coffee shop (which I actually love) in so long. I’m kind of in my happy place right now, but I know I will kick myself later because I forgot to order decaf and it’s 9:00 PM. Damn it.
I have kind of been all over the place lately. I’ve been working a lot at the boutique, so I haven’t had much time to dedicate to my blog! I also left my camera at home in San Antonio, so #oops. One of the many things I love about my job is that I get to wear beautiful items every day, which is what I am mostly showing you guys in this post. There are few pieces that aren’t Rio Ritz, which I will specify for y’all from top to bottom:
I really can’t get away from the boho look. I definitely explore different styles all the time, but I always seem to come back to the boho, laid-back attire. I have really been loving anything romantic and feminine lately as well. I think the first outfit above really falls under that category. The subtle pink and neutrals make the outfit girly and delicate. My style changes from day to day, so tomorrow I could be feeling different and wear all black. That’s the fun of fashion!
I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Memorial Day! Mine will be spent in a coffee shop getting some much needed work done and then paddle boarding on Lady Bird Lake.. yippee!
xx Ashton Paige
I have always been in love with the whole messy, effortless look and my adoration in only getting stronger. Vintage clothing sure pairs well with it! I purchased these pants (that I am currently obsessed with) from Rio Ritz, of course. They have a really great vintage collection since each item is handpicked by the owner, so you don’t have to rummage through a thrift store for hours to find a cute item. Since buying these pants I remembered how much I love thrift shopping. You find the BEST stuff and it’s so cheap! I like how every piece of clothing has a story behind it. I’ve been asking girls who come into our store recently where they got their shoes, shirt, blouse, etc., and it’s usually “Goodwill!”, or some thrift store. When being on a tight budget (like me as a young woman starting out) it can be hard to keep a wardrobe fresh, so thrifting is something I’ll have to try again!
The shoes. I have been finding every excuse to wear heels lately. It’s such a new thing for me to wear a casual heel since I really didn’t think there was such a thing as a “casual heel,” but I love these nude strap heels by Aldo – they go with everything (obviously, they’re nude). I have always been a flats, tennies, and sandals kind of gal, but I am venturing out! It’s just always been easier for me to drop money on clothing rather than a pair of shoes. Is that just me??
Happy Graduation to all the new grads out there! This time of our lives is scary, but so exciting. Like I’ve said before, we don’t need to have it all figured out right now. This is our time to grow, find our passion, and build on it. I am very excited for new projects and collaborations to come; I cannot wait for you all to go on this journey with me! xx
Hello hello and happy Monday!
I have had this button down and pair of denim bell-bottoms for over a year and have never thought of putting these two items together. Blogging has given me the opportunity to go through all my clothes and put items together I had never thought of piecing together before. I think that’s because I never allowed myself enough time to get ready and now so much more detail is going into what I wear every day! I’m also realizing how many items I actually own, as well as how many other things I really NEED.
Like I mentioned in my last post where you can find here, I had a very off week last week. I am hoping to make this a better one, so I am making myself go to hot yoga every single morning… as I should be doing already, but no better time to start than now! I’ve been going to Bfree yoga in Austin, but if anyone has any other suggestions on where to go, I’d love to hear it. Have a good week you guys!

I apologize for the lack of posts lately! This week has been one of those off weeks for me where everything just seems to go wrong. Does anyone ever have those? My first reaction is to relate it to astrology – like something MUST be off in the Sag world… I’m kind of obsessed with the whole Zodiac thing. Although this week has been a little rough, I really thought about the purpose of this blog. I created this fashion lifestyle blog to not only express my love for style and beauty, but for something more than that which I feel is extremely important. My intentions have always been to inspire women, give them confidence, and help them feel their best, and that is what I intend to do here through every single post.
A friend of mine told me recently that I was good at being honest in all aspects of life. She said she wished she was able to say “I really like my hair today,” or legs, butt, whatever (you get the picture). This shocked me because she was basically telling me she couldn’t give herself a compliment! Some of you may be thinking that it’s conceited or narcissistic to say out loud that you look good… and that is what is so wrong. Women should not feel like they can’t say they feel beautiful, sexy, or pretty. Confidence is so incredibly important and our generation of young women needs more of it.
I chose to wear this dress for this specific post because well, for one I think it’s a gorgeous Spring item, but more importantly because there are parts of my body I don’t like in it. I bet you don’t even know what they are because truthfully, nobody cares! Confidence is key. OWN IT. Without confidence I’m sure you would be able to find my insecurities within an instant. What I’m trying to say is that women need to be more confident. When you feel beautiful or sexy (as you should!!!) you should be able to say it without having some kind of stigma or judgement made upon you. I believe you should always feel your best in love, life, and YOUR style. Those who love you will always make you feel beautiful, and when you invest your time in the things you love, it shows. Happiness + confidence = beauty. Wear something that accentuates what you love about yourself today! Whether that’s a certain color that brings out your eyes, or a pair of shorts that shows off your legs. Help yourself feel beautiful, know you are beautiful, and do not apologize for it.

First off, can we just stop and appreciate how great both of my brother’s photography skills are?? Jake took the photos of me in the last post, and Zach took the photos for this post. I am a very lucky sister to have such patient and supportive little brothers!
The other day I went to Forever 21 (gasp) for the first time in forever. I really hate rummaging through everything in there, but when you take the time to do so, you find a few gems. My shorts and my shirt are both from Forever 21 and they’re PERFECT for Fiesta (shout out to all my San Antonians) and for Summer in general. Which speaking of Summer, one of favorite things to do is pack away all my Winter clothes and trade them in for all my warm weather clothes! It’s like going shopping all over again because most of the time I totally forget that I had most of it. Seriously the greatest feeling EVER. My newest obsession this Spring is denim… especially denim shorts and distressed jeans. I really can’t believe I found these shorts at such a great price, but then again F21 always seems to surprise me! They have some great items right now, which made it so hard for me not to buy everything I tried on…the struggle.
Tomorrow I’ll be posting about how I get my beach waves, so stay tuned!
FIRST OUTFIT: I love love love pairing button downs with casual denim. This was the perfect attire for an Easter BBQ – especially since it was 70 degrees! Ahh, perfect weather. My denim shorts are One Teaspoon, but the ones I am wearing are out of stock, but you can find similar ones here!
SECOND OUTFIT: I am wearing my FAVORITE tee by Junk Food Clothing that I got on Amazon. It is sooo soft and looks even better once it has worn down. Unfortunately, this specific tee is out of stock on Amazon, BUT I have listed below some of my other favorite JFC tees! I always get mine a size or two bigger.
Sometimes I forget how much I love being home until I finally make the trip. It’s not like Austin and San Antonio are even far from each other! Lately I have been getting super caught up in my routine in Austin and I haven’t stopped, sat back, and relaxed in a while. For the first time ever I am living by myself with no roommates (it’s great, I have to admit), so there is a TON of me-time. I know I’ve probably said it before, and it won’t be the last time, but I believe that the most important relationship in your life is the relationship you have with yourself. Moving to Austin, living on my own, working with all new people, has given me a new perspective. It has allowed me to look at life differently and learn how to enjoy it alone, and I think that is incredibly important. This time away from my roots and learning how to blossom on my own has made me appreciate the times I have with my family even more. To say the least, this Easter weekend was so great and was just what I needed.
I hope everyone had a great Holiday weekend and thank you for stopping by!
Wow, I haven’t posted in a while… but I’m back! Those who know me, know that I have ALWAYS wanted to be in Austin, Texas. All I can say is, thank God I am finally here! I got to experience bits and pieces of SXSW this year and it was awesome. I love nothing more than live music. There’s something about feeling the incredibly loud music in your chest that makes me so happy. You know what I mean? It doesn’t have to be a super popular band, just good music! I love that you can find that anywhere in Austin. As for my outfit, I have been getting some questions on where I got my black destroyed jeans – they’re Voss and from Nordstrom. The T-shirt dress I am wearing is from Rio Ritz Austin and there is only a couple more left! The FOOD. I wish I had snapped more pictures of the amazing food I ate last week/weekend. The tacos are from some random food truck (you really can never go wrong with taco trucks in ATX), and the Italian food is from Olive & June. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Austin. It has the sweetest patio and is the perfect place to go dine on a beautiful evening.
Last week I conquered a big fear of mine – eating alone at a nice restaurant without being glued to my phone and being paranoid about what people are thinking of me – “why is that girl eating alone?”. Let me tell you… It was AWESOME! I have been really pushing myself this year to get out of my comfort zone because I have learned you don’t get anywhere staying in it. I moved to Austin for an OT internship, and I hated it. After years of thinking I wanted to be in healthcare and taking every class to prepare for it (even a job), I came to the realization that I wanted nothing to do with it. Don’t get me wrong – I loved the experience I had in healthcare; it taught me a lot, but it’s just not for me. So there I was, my first week in Austin, here for an OT internship and hated it. I followed my gut and quit after the first day (who wants to clean all day with no pay!?). Yep, sounds unreasonable and my parents were mad at me. But I jumped. I didn’t know what was going to happen, especially because I needed an internship to graduate! Yikes. I was scared, but liberated. I talked to my advisor the next day and told her that I had quit. She wasn’t too happy with me either… But then somehow she remembered that a new catalogue had come out for my major, and get this – I didn’t need an internship to graduate! I signed up for the remaining of my classes online and then went job hunting the following day. I find out later that week a new boutique was opening and the owner was looking to hire a stylist to help her build the store from the ground up. I interviewed for it a few days later and I got the job. I am now here at Rio Ritz, absolutely loving it. That’s how it should be, and I wouldn’t have found this happiness if I didn’t JUMP.
Welcome to Austin, Rio Ritz! I am obsessed with everything in this store. Rio Ritz originated in Dallas and recently just opened in here in ATX (literally 2 days ago). It was very hard to choose, but these are only a few of my favorite items. Everything in the store has a fresh new look and is very reasonably priced, which is hard to come across in downtown Austin. Oh, and did I mention they carry vintage items?? The super cute white boots above are from the vintage collection! These outfits are definitely SXSW material… I’m in love. Go check out this beautiful boutique located at 2815 Unit C Guadalupe street in Austin!
Shop the Rio Ritz website here, and follow RR on instagram for new arrivals!
Let me start off by saying that I am in major need of a spray tan, as you can see. Austinites – please let me know of the best place to get one if you’re familiar! I feel like Spring totally came out of nowhere this year, but I am more excited than I usually am to welcome warmth. The beautiful weather in Austin lately has given me a ton of Spring style inspiration. I am currently in the middle of packing up my winter items and bringing in my Spring clothing, so stay tuned! This dress is such an easy go-to and it’s super versatile. You can never go wrong with a t-shirt dress; the one I am wearing is from Gap. This item is the perfect transitional piece when moving into the warmer season and you can easily tuck it into some jean shorts (or pants) to create a completely different outfit. Pair it with some black sandals, flats, or white chucks during the day and nude heels at night!
